I recently came across this post on The Double Edged Sword blog.  It was a great reminder and I decided to do my own version.  The original is superior, but it was good to delve into these things for myself.

Today I don’t care if…

Anna Bligh is getting Botox.

Australia’s (and the world’s) economic future looks doomed.

One day, I may have to homeschool my children in secret.

Ipswich’s “working girls” are earning only 11% of previous earnings. (Seriously, this is news?) 😯

Celebrities are making bad relationship choices.

Optus mobile is charging $2.20 per month for sending out paper bills.

Kevin Rudd is rivaling Bob Hawke as Australia’s most popular prime minister. (Again, seriously? Who are they paying to take these polls?)

Celebrities are adopting poverty stricken international children.

The car industry is suffering financially.

Earth Hour’s results were down from last year.

Today I will…

Put on the Lord Jesus Christ.

Hope in God.

Look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen.

Believe, and therefore speak.

Knowing, therefore, the terror of the Lord, persuade men.

Not lose heart.

Work out my salvation with fear and trembling.

Be a doer of the word, and not a hearer only.

Ask of God, for wisdom where I lack it.

Pray without ceasing.

Seek the One to come.

“And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.” Colossians 3:23-24
