1 Peter 4:17-19 “For the time has come for judgement to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God? 18 Now if the righteous one is scarely saved, Where will the ungodly and the sinner appear?” 19 Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls to Him in doing good, as to a faithful Creator.”

Malachi 3:17-18 “”They shall be Mine,” says the Lord of hosts, “On the day that I make them My jewels. And I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him.”  18 Then you shall again discern beween the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve Him.”

In this time when the gospel has been lost in many of our churches and replaced with self-help and motivational teaching set on improving our lives, it is imperative that those who have ears to hear, return to the Word of God.  God has given us His Word which declares His gospel, and every verse displays His majesty.  His plans are laid out before us and we have had every opportunity to repent, overcome and return to Him.  There will be none who could stand and say “I didn’t know”.  We must be about the Father’s business, as we now live life through Christ.

Luke 12:37  “Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching.”

It is in the watching that we see the joy that is set before us.  It is in the watching, that we will learn the work that the Father is doing.  It is in the watching, that we will recognize the handiwork of our great God.    It is the watching that will cause us to draw ever closer to Jesus and keep our eyes focused on things above.

God has told us in advance, what He requires from us, and what we can expect from Him.  Those with a heart that is turned toward God, will have His plans revealed to them.  What joy and peace it brings, to know that God is in control of all things.
